Robinhood supertub finishing installation

This supertub has a little lip at the back of it which I dont know goes under or over tile/a backsplash .At the moment it is not flush to the wall due to wall trim behind it - should I remove that to get it nearer the wall?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about your Robinhood laundry tub.

The lip on the Robinhood tub usually goes behind the tile, would it be possible for you to post a photo of your wall? This will let our members see how your laundry tub is currently situated. 

However, if by removing the trim it allows you to push the laundry tub to the wall without damaging your splash back, then it's an option worth exploring.
