Replacing the handwash with toilet

Can this hand wash next to shower be replaced with a toilet? Alternatively if it’s not possible, does separately installing a toilet require additional plumbing work such as connection to different sewage pipe?

Re: Replacing the handwash with toilet

Hello @gb1212

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your bathroom.

I propose speaking to a plumber and getting a quote for a toilet installation. One of the first things that needs to be determined is if there is a waste sewer pipe that can be linked to near that area. Once that has been settled, the cost of the dig and pipe layout will be the next thing that needs to get sorted out. One way to save on the sewer connection is to do the digging and concrete cutting yourself, just make sure to ask the plumber in which direction to dig and how deep the channel should be.

The rest of the installation must be carried out by the plumber for safety and compliance. I recommend having a look at the Mondella Concerto Back To Wall Rimless Toilet Suite WELS 4 Star 4.5L/Full as a possible toilet for your bathroom.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
