Re: Replace old tap spindle
Hello @keithy
Hello and welcome to Bunnings Workshop. This looks like a deep seat spindle, I would possibly suggest getting a shaw and mason equivalent. I've placed a picture below so that you can show it to the plumbing specialist at the store. I strongly suggest that you bring the old one with you to compare for height and width. Since it is an older unit it is difficult to tell if the sizes are still the same. We can only tell once you bring the spindle in to the store. Should it prove to be difficult to find a similar tap spindle you may have to buy a full set for your basin. I've placed a suggested set which is very versatile and can fit in most basins.
Note: The basin set includes the breach set and copper T join. It is a complete set!
Cheers,
Red

Re: Replace old tap spindle
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop @keithy.
It's fabulous to see that @redracer01 has provided some helpful suggestions.
If the internal mechanism from your spindle is broken or warped, then you'll need to replace the whole spindle, and as @redracer01 has mentioned, the Shaw & Mason Chrome Plated Deep Seat Basin Spindle is a likely candidate. Depending on the age and damage on the rest of the set, it would be worth considering whether the Estilo WELS 3 Star 9L/min Basin Set would be a more viable solution. That way, you get brand new taps, and a spout included.
Please let us know if you need further assistance or have questions.
Mitchell
