Our old laundry seems a bit empty and have no storage space, so I did a bit of diy.
laundry before diy
Laundry after diy
Toilet before diy
toilet after diy (fish eye lens photo, coz the space is so small)
Another terrific project, @sudarsoe!
It's always tricky working with compact spaces, but you seem to have done a wonderful job in adding more storage in your laundry. I'm also loving that tiled splashback that spells 'LAUNDRY' - very creative indeed! Will you be able to share more specific details about all the changes you made? Did you install those overhead cabinets yourself?
Congratulations once again on another great project, and looking forward to seeing more of your work!
Regards
Akanksha
I installed all the cabinet myself, I use caesarstone thrown away chip sample.
I use to work as kitchen designer and feel a bit sad when the sample gets thrown away from the showroom once the colour is discontinued.
just laid it down and use mesh tape to stick it at the back.
I called plumber to relocate my water under benchtop, inside cabinet and make my own trough using metal tub (see the green metal tub at the end)
spout using metal tube and hanging rod always handy to have for small articles.
After the cabinets all done, then I move on with tiling the toilet and the splasback.
Tilinfg is backbreaking laborous task, I said to myself “never gain” hahaha
After it’s all done then I make my own barn door using wood from my old bed slats.
I did 2 for toilet and bathroom.
it needed to be routed to create tounge and groove so there’ll be no gap.
that’s all I think.
These are great, many thanks for providing this extra information, @sudarsoe. I'm sure our members will appreciate your efforts.
Love your use of the caesarstone chip samples and how you repurposed those old bed slats for your barn doors - very creative and sustainable.
Great work. I look forward to seeing what projects you tackle next.
