Just after some help with if it is possible to wall mount a dryer on a steel frame house. My plan is to secure a piece of structural pine to the studs because the bracket holes won’t line up, and then fix the bracket to the pine.
Just unsure if steel studs can take the weight and what fasteners would be best to use?
Hello @knfr
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Its sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about mounting your dryer.
I suggest using either the Tox M8 x 100mm Heavy Duty Metal Toggle or the Ramset Super Wallmate Toggle Anchor to mount the timber pine onto your steel studs. If you wish to add extra support to the dryer, you can always put another timber piece underneath to support the weight of the dryer.
If you would like to double check the weight capacity of your steel stud wall, I suggest speaking to your builder and asking them about the weight limitations of the steel studs.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
