Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any simple ideas for updating this bathroom? It’s very small and we’re not in a position to completely remodel. We are wanting to sell next year and looking for things we could possibly replace the tiles with. Previous owner put down vinyl flooring over the original tiles and we’d like to update somehow without breaking the bank.
Any help is appreciated as we are stuck for ideas!
Thanks!
Hello @HayleeB,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about updating your bathroom on a budget.
One quick way to update the look of your bathroom is to change your bathroom fixings to black to give a modern cosmopolitan feel. An affordable way to do this is to paint your chrome fixings just like in this discussion - Spray painted tapware by @lifestylebymari. It's a great way to give your fittings a nice new upgrade just by using paint. In regards to your flooring, you could replace the vinyl flooring with something much brighter to give the impression that the room is bigger.
If you want to step up to the next level, you could install HanWood 5mm Vega Oak Hybrid Waterproof Flooring - Aquila Sands. It is easy to install and is totally 100 percent waterproof. One other thing you can do is to paint the plasterboard wall a different colour such as a light green or blue in modern tones. This is to give the room a splash of colour and add a bit of contrast.
Let me call on our experienced members @redbournreno and @lifestylebymari for their recommendations.
