How to stop water leaking out of washing machine drain pipe?

IMG_9551.jpeg

Hi! Everytime our washing machine drains the water out it leaks straight out of the spigot on the left hand side of the drain. We cleaned out the drain today in case there was a blockage but it didn’t help. Should the spigot have some sort of plug on it to stop the water shooting straight out of it instead of down the drain?

Re: Water leaking out of washing machine drain pipe

Hello @afiya

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. If you are using the top of your exit pipe, I suggest using Deks PVC Trap Dishwasher Outlet Cap to cover the inlet spigot of the "S" trap. This will stop the water from flowing out that spigot.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.
