I am looking for a sealant / treatment for bathroom shaving cabinet mirrors. Mirror do not last even a year before deteriorating. Up to 3rd replacement under warranty & the last that will be made, due to mirror black edge. Before the new doors are installed I wanted to treat or seal to prevent this from re-occuring. Tks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Dawn22. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about sealing mirror edges.
You might like to have a read through this previous discussion on What silicone to seal the edges of a bathroom mirror?. You'll need to use a neutral cure silicone like Selleys 310g Liquid Nails Mirror Metal And Glass Adhesive. Make sure to coat the edge of the mirror where the glass meets the silvering. This is where moisture penetrates and starts the desilvering process.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
