I have a Boston burst-guard braided hose which has shut off. How do I reset it please?
Hi @Stephen23,
When a false trigger occurs, the hose must be disconnected from the wall and re-installed to reset it. The mains water or isolation valve must be turned off before doing so. It then needs to be turned back on extremely slowly before the first use. After that, the tap and water connector can be used normally.
Bear in mind that there would typically be a reason for a false trigger, like the mains or taps were turned on too quickly, or you're running a tap or machine that consumes more than 9L per minute.
If you continue to have issues I'd be happy to put you in touch with the Boston technical to troubleshoot.
Remember that removing or installing pipework is plumbing work and requires a plumber for installation.
Please let me know how you go or if you have any questions.
