Hi
I was replacing a seal on the outlet valve of an old caroma toilet system like this one and while I was working I removed the floater arm and dropped the small metal clip like below (that goes through the red outer, brown holder and white part to the other side) and now, I’ve fixed the initial problem (!) but the toilet won’t stop filling. I have tried diff screws etc but really need this part. Any ideas on where I could get it?
hard to see the model number of the whole system but looks like 117 something
Hello @rox76
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Carom inlet valve.
I've had a thorough look, but I'm afraid that specific spare part is not available at the store. However, I suggest looking at the Pinnacle 3mm Zinc Plated R Clip and the Zenith Assorted 316 Stainless Steel Split Pin. You might get lucky and one of those parts I suggested might be able to replace the brass pin that got lost. I strongly suggest giving it another look with a torch in your hand and scour the bottom of the cistern.
If you can't find it and none of the spare parts work, I recommend replacing the inlet valve with a Fluidmaster Bottom Entry Toilet Inlet Valve. It is highly adaptable and works with almost any cistern.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
