How to repair damaged wall from removing tiles?

Hello,

I was removing the black splash above the sink when a chunk of cement came off with the tiles and now the brick is exposed. How do I repair this?

Re: how to repair damaged wall from removing tiles

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ash97. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a wall.

If you're planning on re-tiling the area, then you could consider sheeting the area with Villaboard to provide a nice flat surface to work on.

To repair the area, you can skimcoat it with Hardwall Plaster. Alternatively, you could use a generic cement-based filler such as Dunlop 5kg Ardit Rapidset Repair Mortar.

Get yourself a wide trowel to help level the area and create a smooth surface. You might also need a smaller trowel to work around the back of the taps.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
