Hello,
I have this awful soap dish in my shower I want to remove. There is a very tiny allen key opening but it doesn’t seem to work or want to budge when I tried to loosen it. Any ideas on how I could remove the soap dish or should I consider painting it?
Appreciate any suggestions!
Hi @EmiJ,
Thank you for your question about removing this soap dish from your shower.
The grub screws you mentioned are the key to removing the soap dish. There is likely a bracket underneath that the grub screw is holding the soap dish on.
If the grub screw is not coming out, you could try soaking it with CLR for around 5-10 minutes to break up anything that is locking things in place.
This will likely work, but if the screw is still not coming out, as you've indicated you want to get rid of it, you can always drill the grub screw out with a suitably sized cobalt drill bit or even cut the bracket off with a hacksaw.
Let me know what you think and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
