How to remove this bidet attachment?

1000040753.jpg

 hi community,

I'm trying to remove a bidet but this attachment is stuck. Have tried to pull out the hose with strength, tried "unscrewing".

Any guidance?

Re: how to remove this bidet attachment

Hi @angben,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

Looking at the attachment, it appears that the pieces would screw into each other. Anything with water flowing through it is susceptible to calcium and scale buildup, so it may have seized in place.

When you tried unscrewing them, did you feel any movement at all?

You might have more success using a mechanical aid such as some multigrips.

If unscrewing isn't the solution, the best thing we can do is track down the installation manual for the bidet and reverse the process.

Are you aware of the model of bidet?

I'd be happy to look over the manual if you can provide the make and model of bidet.

Let me know how you go.

Jacob

Thanks so much for the help

The model is

I haven't been able to find a manual online.

Re: how to remove this bidet attachment

Hi @angben,

Unfortunately, as they are not one of our suppliers meaning I don't have their contact information and there don't appear to be manuals that are easily accessible, you will have to reach out to their customer service team for assistance retrieving a manual.

Was there any movement when you tried unscrewing the hose?

I suspect this is the answer to the problem.

Let me know how you go.

Re: how to remove this bidet attachment

Hello @angben

I suspect that this is a push to fit fitting. I suggest pushing the white ring down that I have indicated with the yellow arrows while pulling the white hose in the opposite direction. The white ring must not lift up otherwise the hooking claws will continue to hold the pipe in place. You can surround the white ring with the tip of your fingers and hold tight.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Eric
