How to remove glass shelf holders?
Hi everyone, do you know how to remove this glass shower shelf and its holders?
The nails screwed into the shelf from the top are rusted and unsalvageable, so wouldn’t be able to approach dismantling from that angle…

Re: How to remove these shelf holders.
Hi @Icarus
There will be small round opening most likely on the underside of the posts adjoining the wall. These will have small grub-screws that will either be a small flat blade or less likely a Phillips head screwdriver fitment. But most likely an Allan key fitment to turn anti-clockwise. Just watch as you loosen each one to keep one hand on the shelf so it doesn't drop to the floor and shatter.

Re: How to remove these shelf holders.
Hello @Icarus
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your glass shelf.
It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Nailbag. I totally agree with the recommendations made, if you can get a friend to help you hold the glass shelf while you remove the mounting screw at the bottom, disassembly should be much easier.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: How to remove these shelf holders.
If you are unable to remove the other grub screw @Icarus, the next step would likely be drilling it out to release the bracket from the wall.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Re: How to remove these shelf holders.
If you decide to try @MitchellMc idea to drill them out, use a Cobalt drill bit which will be more up to the task. Just be careful not to bend it while drilling or it will snap.

Re: How to remove these shelf holders.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions! We ended up having to call in the big guns cuz we couldn’t do it ourselves - my dad.
Dad ended up grinding off the rusted bolts off the top of the shelf to lift it off. As for the metal holding bits on the wall, they had tiny holes on the bottom and he used a torx screwdriver to get them out.

Hi @Icarus,
I'm glad to hear your dad was able to help out and that you managed to remove the shelf.
Thank you for the update.
