How to remove a caroma soft close toilet seat cover with no release buttons anywhere, all ICan see wide semicylindicar metal caps..
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @doughman. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing a toilet seat.
It would be helpful for our members when suggesting removal techniques if they could see the toilet seat you're working with. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images. Please take pictures from the top side and back of the seat with it open and closed.
You might find that the bolts are located under the metal caps, or there might be a rear cover that you need to open up to gain access to the bolts. The fixing method is often concealed, so it's just a matter of working out how to access it. There are many different methods of fixing a toilet seat, even in the Caroma soft close system, but once we see the seat, I'm sure we can work it out together.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I’m having the same issue. It’s a Caroma opal II soft close toilet suite.
any ideas how to remove the lid off those hinges?
Hi @VeronikaP,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
It's great that @Marty_greenshed has jumped in with some assistance already.
Have you had any success so far? The Opal II Single Flap Seat Instructions that Marty has linked to will hopefully help.
If not, could you upload some images and a description of where you're running into trouble?
Let me know if you need a hand uploading images, I'm happy to help if required and will help further once you've provided some details.
