Hi Brains Trust. Our toilet roll holder has come out from the wall - the holes in the plaster/gyprock have enlargened because of the weakness. Can the holder be reinstalled back in the same place without falling out - ie. is there a glue or putty or something to hold it in place, or will we need to putty that up and install somewhere else?
Your best option @Moragajagga, is to move the position. The area is now compromised, and the fixings will likely pull out again. You could try squeezing some Liquid Nails in the holes and re-inserting the fittings; that might be enough to glue them in position. If you can locate a timber stud within the appropriate area, that will always be the most secure mounting point.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Hi @Moragajagga
As per Mitchell.
But also, If those holes are now "enlarged" would/could a Ramset dry wall expanding anchor be another solution? However you would not be able to reuse those original screws - small M4 bolts now...
