Hi, I recently had my shower re-tiled. The tiler advised that he was going to use paintable silicone around the edges, however when I try to paint it it ends up like below. Could you please advise how to obtain a better finish? Thanks for your help
Hello @sue1821
Thanks for sharing your question about painting your silicone edging. I suggest using a clean rag and some methylated spirits to wipe off the paint that you used on top of the silicone surface. Let the surface dry off very well, I then suggest painting the silicone surface with Dulux 1L PRECISION White Maximum Strength Adhesion Primer. I recommend a minimum of two coats before you paint it with your topcoat.
