Good morning,
I’m looking to paint my bathroom walls. The walls are block walls and are currently white (surf mist I think) and in good condition, recently painted. I’m just wondering what prep etc would be needed prior to painting or whether I can paint right over it.
Hi @StevenT1,
Since your walls have been recently painted, you should be able to coat them directly over the existing paint. You'd typically only need to clean or prime if it were older paint and was beginning to deteriorate.
You might like to give the walls a quick wipe down with Sugar Soap wipes to ensure any dust or buildup is removed. After cleaning, wipe over the walls with a damp cloth and fresh water. Allow the walls to dry entirely before coating.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
