Ok, so I have a dryer that I want to mount to the tiled wall in my bathroom above a top-loading washing machine. Have checked the measurements and there is enough space.
I've bought the correct mounting bracket for the dryer, and I have the right drill bits and hammer drill for tiles.
I'm just not sure how best to do this as have never tried to do it.
I think there's only one stud, on the far right of the wall space.
Hello @Dandinelle
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about mounting your clothes dryer.
In this particular instance, I suggest investing in a stud finder. This will help you determine where the studs are if there is more than one behind your wall. The good news is that even if the studs are out of position and not lining up with your wall bracket there is way to do it. The suggested method is to mount a timber batten across the studs and mount the bracket to the batten. It will still be fully supported by the studs behind the wall.
here is a link to our best advice: How do you mount a dryer to a metal stud wall? (just in case you have metal studs in your wall and not timber)
I suggest having a look at these discussions regarding wall mounting clothes dryers:
