How to loosen up a disc tap?

Hello Workshop Brains Trust!

I think these are disc taps.  Is there a way to loosen up the  movement of the tap handle?  They both go from nothing to a full blast way too easily and I often get drenched from the spray rebound! 🙄

Cheers 🤗

Re: How to loosen up a disc tap

Hi @Tyro,

Sink mixers are fairly notorious for having some quite finite adjustments to water pressure, and I'd agree that it's sometimes either a dribble or full blast. My children seem to struggle immensely with ours and drench themselves whenever they use them. There's not really much you can do to alleviate this issue. If you have mini cistern cocks under the sink, you could try closing them a bit to see if it reduces the pressure enough to reduce the flow when full-on is selected.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell

Thanks @MitchellMc!  I didn't even know what those things are called but I'll have a look-see 🤞

Cheers 🤗
