Hi there,
I just moved in in a very old house with 4 units. Their taps in the kitchen is old, and the taps are mounted on the wall so there is no pipe underneath the sink. So I wonder is there is something like a adaptor I could attach to the tap (like the pic I uploaded)? Will it be tight enough?
Much appreciated
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Phw1121. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a washing machine to a sink spout.
Unfortunately, although you might be able to cobble together a way to connect the washing machine inlet hose to the tap, it's not an approved form of connection, so I'm unaware of any products that would be suitable. Inlet hoses need to be directly connected and hard plumbed to your plumbing work with threaded fittings. This type of soft connection can blow off and cause issues like flooding.
Are there any threaded water connections under the sink?
Please let me know if you have any questions.
