How to install Easycraft panel for a laundry backsplash?

I am needing a backsplash for my laundry. I’m thinking of doing the EasyCraft paneling for Wet Areas. The instruction booklet says I must leave a 150mm gap between the sink and the paneling.
Given the sink is set back from the wall, do I still need to allow this gap or can I bring the paneling

right to the bench?

Re: Easy craft panneling for a laundry backsplash

Hello @lauravdh

Thanks for sharing your question about the wet area Easycraft panelling. It does appear that there is enough distance between the edge of the sink and the panel. Please allow us to double check with Easycraft regarding the installation of the wet area panel next to you butlers sink.

Thank you for your patience.

Re: Easy craft panneling for a laundry backsplash

The 150mm gap requirement is typically for moisture protection, preventing water damage to the paneling. However, since your sink is set back from the wall, the risk of direct water exposure might be lower.

To be sure, check the manufacturer’s guidelines or contact them directly. If moisture is still a concern, you could use a waterproof sealant or install a splashback behind the sink area while bringing the EasyCraft paneling closer to the wall. Proper ventilation and sealing will help maintain durability.
