I have recently installed my washing machine into my bathroom however my sink seems to be very persistent and I cannot replace the pipes underneath to have a waste nozzle connection that would be typically used to drain waste water. My current solution is to just run the waste tube to the bathtub and let it drain into there but i was wondering if there were any ideas to do this into the toilet? Any advice as well if the waste water would come out too quickly and be too much for the toilet to drain? My idea at the moment is to find a pipe with a nozzle that can be attached between the tank with the water and the base (see photo) but not sure if anything like this exists. Thx
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @nwals31. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a washing machine waste.
The easiest solution would likely be to switch out the current waste trap on the sink for one like the Holman 50mm S&P Trap Combo Set, which has a spigot for connecting the washing machine's waste pipe.
As toilets are not used for disposing of wastewater from washing machines, I am not aware of whether they'd be capable of accepting that volume. However, given the vast number of sanitary requirements and building codes, I would presume that your connection method would not comply with at least one of them.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
