Hey loves!
What can I do about the bottom of my shower? Can't replace it!
Thanks team ❤️
Hello @Ssowden27
Thank you for sharing your question about fixing the bottom of the shower floor. Thanks for posting photos of your shower tray, looking at the surface finish it seems like someone has painted the surface of the tray before. This kind of fault often occurs on acrylic shower trays when they are painted. The paint fades, peels and cracks due to the tray flexing and the constant immersion of the surface in hot water.
Unfortunately, neither the White Knight 1L White Satin Renew Tile And Laminate Paint or the Rust-Oleum Tub And Tile Refinishing Kit are rated for shower base use. Hence, I can't recommend these products as they will eventually fail.
I can only suggest either removing the old shower tray and putting in a new one or removing the tray and tiling the floor so that you don't have to deal with putting in a new tray. One other option is to engage a shower tray restoration specialist, but the probable cost of having your tray restored might be equivalent to getting a new one.
