my privacy door lock push spindle has stopped locking the door. Its just 1.5 yr old house. Can u guide me if it can be fixed.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's splendid to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your privacy door handle.
The locking pin could possibly be just loose, I suggest turning it clockwise to see if it will re-engage and try pushing and pulling it to activate the lock. Please make sure the door is open while you are attempting to fix it. If it does not work, I recommend replacing the door lock with a similar type of privacy lock but with a twist button such as the Lemaar Satin Chrome Metz Privacy Set.
Unfortunately, your privacy door lock has no spare parts and can't be repaired with off the shelf parts.
