this panel keeps getting misaligned, I replaced the wheels and banged the metal straight last time but it has gotten bent again and comes off looks like the screw has slipped up too do I need to tighten it better this time ? Is there a step I’m missing in this repair I followed the instructions and I think maybe I just didn’t tighten enough or was the position incorrect? I’m going to do it again but wondered if you had any other suggestions, plus maybe people are too rough perhaps 🤔, it always seems to happen when someone else is using it or maybe it just slowly gets bent again and slipped up
Hello @angelique5
Just a friendly reminder that working with glass is dangerous, an accidental hit with a tool or when too much force is applied to the glass can cause it to shatter and cause injury. Please make sure to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles when handling it.
If the channels and holders have been straightened out and they eventually bend back or get bent again, it's possible that its being bent back due to rough use. It's also possible that where the screws are being mounted onto are just too loose or there is a lack of gripping surface which causes the wheels to go out of position. I suggest engaging the services of a professional shower installer and explaining to them what is happening.
They might suggest alternative repair methods that you've not thought about. Your shower frame might need to re-squared so that the doors slide evenly. The wheel slots might need to be re-drilled or new ones made.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks for your reply, I haven’t cleaned the track ever so I’m thinking it could get stuck and maybe I don’t tighten the screws enough either. Unfortunately I can’t really engage a professional as I’ve got a lot of other repairs to get done like drains installed etc roofing repairs and not enough income presently but of course if all fails I’ll have to take those steps eventually, I have another question do you have a suggestion on straightening the metal I thought I’d watched a video before and can’t remember how they did it just that you hammer it inline so it’s straight again, the frame was a little bit coming undone on one corner, so I tightened the screw to fix that , also looked on the website for regency shower screens . They are completely different now says they last 10-15yrs so it’s time to replace mine aren’t even on there I think they were 1996 when duplex was built .
Once I can I’ll do a full / partial Reno both bathroom and kitchen are old and tired . So for now it’s just fix up to functional state .
thanks again.
