How to fix hole in tile where skirting board once was?

Hi. We replaced our skirting boards and now we’re left with a big gap in the tiles.

Re: hole in tile where skirting board once was

Hi @jessvan,

Unfortunately, outside of replacing the tile, it is likely any repair will be fairly noticeable.

Ideally, if you had a spare tile, we could replace the tile. This would involve cutting out the grout, levering up the old tile, cutting the new tile to shape, applying tile adhesive, sticking the tile in place and then replacing the grout.

Alternatively, you could use Mortafil in the closest colour to emulate the tiles. This would not be a perfect repair, but it would certainly fill the gap and look better than what is currently there.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
