I would love to know how to fix/replace my towel rail that has become dislodged and now is on a slant. The wall is tile. Many thanks Liz

On each side @LizzieD there appears to be a grub screw.
Usually an Allen key will remove these.
Then hopefully you can remove the towel rail from the wall.
And you/we will see what's going wrong with the brackets.

It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Noyade. I totally agree with the recommended procedure on how to remove the towel rail. Once you've have removed the grub screw the rail should slide out. You should then see the mounting lugs on the wall, these will need to be tightened. But if the mounting screws and plugs are ruined or damaged, I suggest changing them to something more robust like the Ramset 8 x 50mm Universal Anchor - 4 Pack if applicable.
