I am in the process of grouting the floors of my shower. Does this need to be glued?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Keish. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about floor wastes.
Typically, a floor waste is grouted into position. In your case, it's either been forcibly pulled out, or the grout hasn't held it well. Did you unscrew it? I'd suggest applying a bead of silicone around the inside edge and pushing/screwing it back into position. That should hold it in place. Once secured, you can grout around its edge to neaten up the joint.
