Hi All,
I have never been a hands-on person and Hence the question.
I've recently moved to a new place and would like to install the drain hose for my washing machine.
There is 4 parts to my query, drill spigot, use rubber attachment provided , use clamp provided and install hose.
I have never completed this task before and would like advice including photos or videos.
Just a note, my hose fits correctly around the spigot.
Thank you.
Hello @RVR
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about connecting your washing machine drain hose.
I suggest having a quick look at this guide - How to connect a dishwasher. If you go to step four in the guide, you'll get a good example of how the spigot is drilled and how the hose is securely attached.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thank you, Eric. Very helpful illustration there.
I have a question on the drill size chosen. I see a 13 mm drill bit was chosen for the spigot to install the dishwasher hose. Is this spigot size common across applications or areas of use.
Hi @RVR,
13mm is a common internal diameter for a dishwasher connection point, but I would still suggest double-checking the internal diameter yourself before selecting a drill bit.
The aim is to select a drill bit that will just fit down the connection with very little room but does not touch the sides. This will ensure the inlet is as open as possible to not slow down the flow of liquids.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
