hello
I was wondering if you would please be able to help with a layout design plan to renovate our laundry. Ideally would love to add a shower in someone if the room permits.
The measurements are as follows;
2400 wide
2270 long
2720 ceiling to floor

Thankyou
Hello @Stephie90
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your laundry makeover.
I suggest having a quick look at this guide - How to plan a laundry renovation by @Adam_W. It will give you an excellent idea of what to take into consideration when planning your laundry area. Your renovation request is quite special as you are asking if it is possible to squeeze in an extra shower in the space provided. I believe that there is just enough space to make it work. Please keep in mind that this will require your laundry area to be completely stripped out and re-assembled with the proper waterproofing membrane installed.
Before you begin, I suggest engaging the services of a builder who has experience in upgrading standard rooms into bathrooms. I recommend asking for a quote on what needs to be done and how much it will cost to transform your laundry into a bathroom. I also recommend checking your local council's rules and regulations in regards to the transformation of the room.

Please allow me some time to draw up some sketches to give you an idea of how you can lay out your shower/laundry area. As soon as I finish the drawings, I'll post them right here.
Thank you for your patience.
Eric
Thankyou very much, appreciated.
Will speak to some builders in the meantime.

Hello @Stephie90
As promised, I've placed some images below to give you an idea of how you can lay out your laundry with a shower in it. I've designed it with a front loader to give you an idea of what it might look like, but it will still work even if you have a top loader installed in that spot. I've placed an extra wall to create a shower cubicle which means that you just need a shower door to complete the set-up, and it allows you to adjust the depth of your shower area. It also defines the area between your shower and the laundry.
It gives it a nice classic look and provides your shower with excellent privacy even when people walk across the laundry rooms window.

Thats wonderful, thankyou.
Would you please be able to send prices for all items to be delivered, and i will get quotes from the builder/plumber on my end.
Appreciate your help with this.
Stephanie.
Hello @Stephie90
Here are the basic parts of your laundry renovation. Please note that there are various colours to choose from when it comes to the doors of the cabinetry. I suggest visiting your local store so that you can choose which one you like.
Here are the parts you'll need: (Please note that the doors and hinges are sold separately)
While you are at the store you can ask the team member at the special orders desk how much delivery will cost for these items to be brought to your home. My best advice is to speak to your builder and ask them for a quote on how much the renovation will cost. You'll then get a materials list and have a better idea of the parts you'll be needing for the laundry makeover.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thankyou Eric, you have been very helpful.
Can you please guide on which tiles you think would suit the area, as we are thinking of changing the floor and wall tiles completely as well. Would like a white colour thinking maybe duratile 25x40cm 1.0m2 for the wall tiles? Do you think that would work? And can we use those in the shower or would we need different tiles? Would appreciate any links to your thoughts choice.
Floor tiles would like the size around 40x40cm in white ish colour if you could also send some links.
Very much appreciate your help.
Thankyou
Stephanie
Hi @Stephie90,
The Duratile 25 x 40cm 1.0m² White Gloss Ceramic Wall Tiles that you've selected are a suitable choice for creating a bright and modern ambience. The Johnson Tiles 40 x 20cm White Gloss Ceramic Wall Tile would also work well. Either of these selections is fine for use in a shower.
For the flooring, opting for 40x40 cm white or off-white tiles can complement your wall tiles beautifully. It's crucial to select tiles with a slip-resistant surface to ensure safety, especially in wet areas like bathrooms. Look for tiles with a matte or textured finish, as they provide better traction compared to glossy surfaces. These Johnson Tiles 400 x 400mm White Cemento Matt Ceramic Floor Tile should work well with your wall tiles.
You might like to head into the store and check out the displays so you can compare them in person. I'm sure the team would be happy to help.
If you can't find anything you like on display, our friends at Beaumont Tiles have different options to choose from and I'm sure they'd be happy to help.
