I have a double glazed window in a bathroom that is clear glass and want to use this product to create more privacy: https://www.bunnings.com.au/dulux-300g-duramax-gloss-frosted-effect_p1400862
Is there any reason not use this on double glazed windows or any other points of caution?
Thanks!
Hello @redburner17
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about spraying frost effect on your glass window.
It should be perfectly alright to use Dulux 300g Duramax Gloss Frosted Effect on your glass window. It's waterproof, UV resistant and can be easily removed if you no longer need it.
However, if you are after another option, you can also use Pillar 0.45 x 2m Frost Adhesive Window Film. It's an easy to apply window film that provides privacy as well.

Hi,
I purchased Pillar Privacy UV-Defence window film 0.9 x 10m, however have noticed it has warning ‘Not to be used on double glazed windows’. I have double glazed windows in bathrooms where I need suitable frosting film or other solutions. Is there a another recommendation? Note: I also read on internet where they have advised not to use window films on double glazed windows as it can cause heat stress between layers of glass to shatter? Is that true?
