I need to purchase some replacement tapware for my bathroom and kitchen but I don't want to buy replacements that aren't compatible. I need to get a bathroom set (separate spout/handles), handles for the shower, and a mixer tap for the kitchen. Pics are attached and any guidance would be so greatly appreciated - thank you.
Hello @smaci101
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about getting compatible tapware.
The best way to get the correct tapware is to turn off your mains water supply and removing the tap and wall spindle in your bathroom. These spindles come in various sizes and there are two types of tap stoppers. One is the ceramic type, and the other is the ordinary jumper valve. You'll find out they type you have as soon as you remove the spindles from the basin and wall shower. The tap sets come as a set like the Estilo Chrome Basin Set WELS 3 Star 9L/min a classic traditional tap. Then there is the more modern set such as the EZYFIX WELS 5 Star 5.5L/min Chrome Modern Lever Retrofit 3/4 Turn Basin Tap Set.
The same principal applies to your wall tap set; You just need to make sure that they are the same size spindle make sure to bring your old set with you so you can match it up. In regards to your kitchen sink mixer, make sure to measure the base of the mixer weather it is a 40mm or 50mm. You can then choose any type you want as long as the base of the mixertap are the same size or close to it.
