After 15 years I'd like to update my showerhead so was thinking of just replacing the shower head and hose. This is a Technicon2400 Goya Handshower & Rail Chrome (O400CCR) ordered from Southern Plumbing in Canberra for a Classic Constructions build. (Yes, I still have the original delivery note!) What are my options? Should I just unscrew the hose from the mount and take it into a retailer. I was hoping to research a new model before I did that but assume they are not all interchangeable. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @FionaE1. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing a showerhead.
You would be correct that this is a standalone system. So, you could either replace the entire system with a shower set or replace the handset and hose. You likely won't find a handset and hose separately as they are normally stand-alone systems with their own mounting option that wouldn't be compatible with your current system.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Mitchell that’s v helpful. Are the wall mounts a standard size and the brands interchangeable ie can I choose from Grohe, Caroma, Methven etc as long as the hand held shower I choose fits in the existing rail holder? Thanks
The wall mounts are a standard size, but the handset and hose combos are designed for the handset to mount on the wall mount they come with @FionaE1. You'd be better off using the handset and hose and connecting it to your existing water outlet on the wall from the current kit instead of using the wall mount it comes with.
The main thing will be finding a handset that fits the existing rail holder. The grip on your rails holder appears to grasp the hose portion, which would be easier to match than a holder that grasps the actual handle section.

That makes sense - thanks
