Hi all !
I’m doing a project for my laundry. I’m going to build a cabinet to set my washing machine in the bottom and to fit the dryer on the upper shelf.
As the cabinet must be strong and sturdy I’m wondering on which material would be the best for it.
Melamine, plywood, or pine timber ?
Thanks for your advices
Hello @Mark83
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about building a cabinet for your washing machine and dryer.
Can you please tell us the dimensions of your laundry room and the actual size of your laundry machines. This will allow us to draw up a quick render for your laundry and give you a better perspective of how big the cabinet could be. In the meantime, I suggest having a look at this featured laundry project - Farmhouse laundry renovation by @housetohome. It's an excellent example of a how a cabinet was built for the washer and dryer using plywood and pine timber for support.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
