How do i find the part name for a rubber seal for a plumbing vent pipe for toilets?

We’ve got a minor water leak in one toilet, my husband has just cleaned the gutters as we’ve had a lot of rain in Brisbane and found that the rubber seal around the plumbing air vent on the roof has perished.  So far I’ve asked on a chat and also at a store with no success.  With more rain due this week we’re wanting it fixed asap. Help is we’re much appreciated!!

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

Without seeing it, I can't be 100% sure but I believe you are looking for a Dektite. They come in a variety of sizes designed to fit a variety of different pipes.

The instructions for installation can be viewed here - Dektite Installation.

They are reasonably easy to install, but as they are on the roof, there are obvious risks due to the height. If you or your husband aren't comfortable with the risks involved, it is likely worth contacting a roofer or plumber for assistance.
