The spout is probably screwed directly onto a male-threaded copper fitting. If you intend on re-using the spout then I'd recommend using a rubber strap wrench to remove it. If you won't be using it again then a pipe wrench will provide a better grip, though it will severely damage the surface of the spout in the process.
