Hi all!!
I bought my house just over a year ago and am slowly renovating it on a budget with a view to selling and downsizing in around 12 months. I am at a loss though as to what to do about the ugly tiles in the showers in both bathrooms. I can't find a tile paint that is recommended for this purpose, and the recesses aren't a standard size so a new acrylic tray won't work. Outside of pulling up the existing tiles and retiling has anyone got a brilliant solution they would like to share?
Hello @sfairley
Thank you for sharing your question about updating your shower base. There is one more option that might be worth exploring and that is to tile over your existing tiles. However, I recommend getting a professional tiler or a registered plumber who can say yes or no to tiling over your existing base. In this manner, the current base will be undisturbed and the waterproofing stays intact.
