Hi all,
Is it possible for me to move my laundry washing machine taps from the wall to a lower position being hidden in a cupboard? Or is this something best left to a plumber? If possible, can someone please explain how I would go about it?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Kyliecjr. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about relocating wall taps.
You might like to post an image of the area requiring the relocation and let us know a little more about what you'd like to achieve. Let me know if you need a hand uploading an image. I'll also tag one of our talented members @prettyliving, who overcame a similar situation by installing shelving and routing the extension hoses through the cabinetry in her wonderful Budget Bunnings laundry renovation. Perhaps you could take some inspiration from her project if you wanted to avoid relocating the plumbing.
All plumbing work must be completed by a licensed professional. Moving the taps would require re-routing the pipes and installing new taps, which you'd need the plumber to do. You could certainly remove the old taps and patch the wall once they have been disconnected. That would likely cut down on the costs involved.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
