First Home owner where the previous owner has done a very rough renovation.
The house has very little storage so can’t install dishwasher in the kitchen. As we don’t want a dryer there is room next to the washing machine however I wanted to use that area for a pantry as the kitchen doesn’t have a pantry.
Question is to save on space and as I’m replacing the laundry tub anyways can a drawer dishwasher be installed as part of the replacement laundry tub? Sorry if this is a dumb question fairly new to all of this. I won’t be doing the install will hire someone but need to understand if this is something that can be done. Laundry area also happens to be the entrance to the house. Thanks in advance

Hello @FHOAuck
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about your dishwasher.
If I understand you correctly, you're asking if a drawer-type dishwasher will fit along with a laundry tub in the same space? I'm afraid the answer will have to be no, as there is not enough space under the laundry tub for the plumbing. However, I suggest replacing the laundry tub with an Everhard 30L Classic SS Laundry Unit. Beside it, you would have space for a Bellini 45cm Stainless Steel 9 Place Setting 6 Programs Dishwasher. If you're placing your washing machine in there as well, you would have just enough space for a 300mm wide pantry.
However, the other option is to get an Everdure 55cm White Countertop Dishwasher. This will allow you to keep your current laundry tub, place your washing machine beside it and shoehorn a 600mm pantry at the end. The countertop washing machine goes on top of the laundry tub. Would it be possible for you to tell us what other appliances are going into that room? Once we have an idea of the items you're putting in that room. We'll be able to make recommendations on the best possible layout.
I've placed a possible layout of the room, please tell me what you think. If you wish to see it in another configuration, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Hi Eric
thanks for the quick & detailed response. The washing machine that’s going in there is this one: https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/whiteware/laundry/front-loaders/samsung-9.5kg-front-loading-washing-m...
i haven’t picked out a laundry tub yet as I was waiting to see what would suit best
Would you be able to do a mock up option one? With a 300mm pantry please
Thanks 🙏🏾
It's great to see @EricL has been offering some fantastic advice and an amazing rendering of your space. He'll be back this afternoon, and I'm sure he will be delighted to make those adjustments to the layout for you.

Hello @FHOAuck
My apologies for the late reply. Below is the revamped drawing with a smaller laundry tub, compact dishwasher and your choice of the washing machine. Please keep in mind that you have the option of having a benchtop over the machines as they are lower than the height of the laundry tub. The measurements provided are for reference only, please check your appliance to make sure it will fit into the provided space.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Wouldn't it be better to have the washing machine next to the tub and the dishwasher next to the pantry cupboard? Half the cupboards above could be laundry stuff and the other half next to the pantry could be kitchen items. Then the dishwasher/pantry would look like part of the kitchen when viewed from within the kitchen.
You can have whatever orientation you like to the appliances @Lindia. @EricL might have chosen to put the smaller appliance on the right as you'll find it difficult for the dishwashers hoses to reach behind the large washing machine to the sink otherwise. That doesn't really matter, though, as the plumber can just attend to that when installing them.

Hi @EricL
I know this community is about DIY projects etc however if someone doesn’t want to DIY (no experience here) would Bunnings quote and help build this project? Sorry another silly question 🙋🏾♀️
Hello @FHOAuck
Don't worry, you can ask as many silly questions as you like. I suggest going to your local store and speaking to the In-Store Kitchen Specialist. Show them the sketch that I've made and make sure to bring the measurements of your floor plan as well. They should be able to quote all parts of the laundry. The key thing to ask for is the installation quote. Make sure to include the plumber and electrician in the quote. Please note that some stores don't carry this service. Once you have your quote all you need to consider now is the start date of the installation.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
