For waterproofing purpose, can I use Dunlop Primer and Additive to seal grout or add it to grout when grouting? I have some leftover from bathroom waterproofing.
Hi @charlie0123,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
Could you please provide a little more detail about your project so our members and resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts can provide more specific and helpful advice? Does your bathroom currently have an issue you are trying to address?
Grout is not typically waterproof. It is designed to fill the gaps between tiles and provide a smooth, finished surface, but it is inherently porous. The crucial waterproofing layer is underneath the tiles.

Hi @charlie0123,
Apologies for the delay in response.
You can use Dunlop Primer And Additive as an additive for your grout, but it is not going to waterproof your grout, rather it will enhance the colour, add a degree of flexibility and reduce porosity and staining.
As Jason has said, grout is not supposed to be waterproof, the waterproofing comes from the membrane beneath the tiles.
You can find details on how to use it as a grout additive here - Dunlop Primer and Additive.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
