Can I put laminate flooring on top of the old style small ceramic tiles

I want to update the flooring in our laundry without removing the old small ceramic tiles.

Is it possible to lay laminate flooring on top of the existing tiles?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about installing laminate flooring.

It is possible to install laminate flooring over a tiled surface. As long as it is in a reasonably sound condition and the tiles are not coming off you should be able to install the laminate flooring over it. Please note that any door opening into your laundry area will need to be trimmed at the bottom to make space for the laminate flooring as it will increase the height of the floor area by at least 7mm++ depending on the type of flooring you purchase.
