Looking for some advice on how to fix up our bathroom. I’ve tried bleach many times and simply can not get rid of the mould. My husband has used silicone to seal the shower and tiles after a leak which seemed to help that piece but the mould will not go away. We want to fix the shower and sink/vanity shower n a budget of $2500 or less if possible. Any suggestions. Is this fixable for cheep or do we need to redo the whole thing? Thanks in advance!
Hi @HuntJorg,
Welcome to Workshop. We're looking forward to seeing you transform your bathroom, hopefully with a little bit of help from the amazing Workshop community.
You might have seen that the @MakeItYours team just posted their bathroom and ensuite makeover today which might give you some ideas for your renovations on a strict budget.
This previous discussion might also prove helpful for ideas about removing mould - https://www.workshop.com.au/t5/Bathroom-and-Laundry/Remove-Mould-in-30-Seconds-It-ll-never-happen-Or.... I would certainly consider utilising steam before spending a lot of money replacing what you have.
I'll now hand over to the community for their ideas and advice....
Jason
This is the strongest stuff I've seen work. Spray directly at affected area wait 5 to 10 minutes then scrub with brush and soapy water, rinse thoroughly. So strong it will curl your nose hairs!
