I am planning to use moisture resistant plasterboard linings on the laundry walls behind my sink and toilet. Am I able to meet the requirements of the BCA under Part 3.8.1.2 for a laundry using moisture reistant plasterboard sealed and overlaid with membrane and tiles?
Hello @Nurseshark93
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about your laundry wet area.
I recommend checking with your local council's rules and regulations regarding material use and waterproofing of laundry and bathrooms. Some states require that a registered waterproofing specialist apply the waterproofing seal. This means that the service was done to code and it also covers you for your insurance. It's best to double check the requirements before you start your renovation.
I also suggest having a quick look at this discussion - Does new wet area plaster board require sealing prior to laying tiles? by @Crackers1.
