Team,
I have got this in my buffalo lawn. Just wondering whether this is a weed or another type of grass.
Once I thought this is nut grass, then crab grass and in both instances I have applied specific herbicides and no luck yet.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Pala,
That's likely Kikuyu, which is disguised in its early growth and only becomes evident through its fast-paced growth compared to Buffalo. The similar blade look doesn't help the situation.
It's important to try and get ahold of the Kikuyu before it spreads throughout the entire lawn. Unfortunately, there are no selective herbicides that will kill it and not the Buffalo, so removal can be tedious. You can either remove by hand or paint the tips of it with non-selective herbicide with a Zero weeding wand.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
