How do you improve lawn with different grasses?

Different types of grass.jpegIf your lawn has a mix of different grass types and weeds, making achieving a uniform lawn is very challenging. Seeding over the existing grass will likely just add another type of grass to the mix, potentially complicating the situation further.

To achieve a more uniform lawn, it's best to start by removing as much of the current grass and weeds as possible. You can do this manually or use a herbicide if you prefer a quicker solution, making sure to follow the instructions to avoid damaging the soil.

After removing the old grass, prepare the soil by levelling and loosening it. This will help the new grass establish itself better.

Laying down Sir Walter Buffalo turf is a great option. Sir Walter Buffalo is robust and versatile, providing a more uniform look and handling wear and tear well. It's best to lay the turf in the warmer months to give it optimal conditions for establishing itself.

Ensure you keep the new turf well-watered during its establishment period. Although this method involves some upfront work, it will give you a clean slate and a more uniform lawn in the long run.
