Hi there!
I'm looking to add a narrow floating timber shelf to my bathroom cabinet. I've attached an image of the shelf for reference, though it's not a bathroom. I'm hoping to achieve a similar look.
I'm unsure about the best products to use and the installation process, especially considering the tiled bathroom wall. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Salriously. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing a floating shelf.
To install a floating timber shelf in your bathroom, consider using the Flexi Storage Decorative Shelving Oak 900 x 240 x 38mm Floating Shelf. This shelf provides a sleek, stylish look and comes with fixings for timber and plasterboard surfaces.
For your tiled wall, you'll need to make a few adjustments. Start by pre-drilling the tile using a tile drill bit to prevent cracking. Once the holes are drilled, insert expanding wall toggles into the pre-drilled holes. These toggles will provide a secure anchor for the shelf in the tiled surface. Follow the included instructions to attach the shelf brackets, ensuring a level and stable installation.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
