I am not happy with the continuous rim diamond blade (for angle grinder) as it chips when cutting porcelain tiles. I was wondering any other better options. Thanks.
Hello @reno-abc
I'm sorry to hear that the continuous diamond blade is not cutting your porcelain tiles cleanly. If you are using either the Kango or Full Boar brands these are the only cutting blades I can suggest.
I've been renovating my own kitchen and have used the Kango 105mm Continuous Diamond Saw Blade. However, if you are getting chips on the cutting edge, I suggest covering the surface with masking tape and cutting on the surface of the tape itself. The tape will serve as a buffer when the blade meets the tile and will prevent the edge from chipping.
But if the tape fails and you still get residual chipping, I suggest getting a For Hire: Electric Tile Saw Table - 24hr. The wet saw will cool down both the blade and tile preventing chips from forming on the edge of the tile due to heat stress. Dry cutting is only ideal for thin ceramic tiles where the heat build-up is not so severe as they are not as dense as porcelain tiles.
