As I'm nearing the end of our backyard games room project, I had an eclectic assortment of items in my basket during my long weekend trip to Bunnings. There was some magnets for a gate, some wood filler, some paint and a new BBQ spatula.
Looking around at the store, it seemed many people were gearing up for a big weekend of D.I.Y. and gardening projects. There was certainly a wide variety of items in shopping baskets and trolleys.
What was the last thing you bought at Bunnings?

Today I bought a diamond hole saw, because I’m almost ready to start tiling the laundry (YAY!) I bought Craftright Diamond Holesaw Set - I’ve mentioned the brand because I wanted to let people know that Craftright tool accessories are actually good value for money and perfectly OK for one-off DIY jobs. Normally I’m not a believer in buying the cheapest, but since I tried their tool for installing those hinges for kitchen doors, I’ve been quite impressed. I need a couple of different sized hole saws, and the the Suttons were going to set me back $80, and I still had to buy the arbor + drill bit - so quite an expensive exercise for 8 holes. At $40, if they fail after 4 holes, I’ll just go and buy them again, and still be ahead.
Oh, and I bought some of those builders wedges to set my bottom row of tiles, cheers Deb 😀
New framing nailer. Been using an 18V with gas unit. DeWalt has innovated and delivered an 18V model with no gas. More expensive up front but should be cheaper running. Keen to see how this performs. Its first project will be my new decks Will share a review and my projects in the coming weeks.
