How to replace halogen with LED without replacing transformers?
Hi Community
Is there such thing as an 240V compatible LED MR16 bulb with built in transformer so that as I replace lights around the house I can replace the halogen ones with LED that don't flicker without having to replace all the transformers. No plug and flex. All our lighting is hard-wired to 240V

Re: Halogen To LED without replacing transformera
Hi @michy81,
Thank you for your question.
Have you got old halogen downlights that use a transformer and are you looking to replace them with LED downlights?
Do you have some photos of the light fixtures that you could share?
These HPM MR16 70mm Fixed LED Downlight appear to be compatible with most halogen downlight transformers and can be installed D.I.Y.
Have a look at the video on the product page for some further details about this product.
Please remember to turn the power off at the switchboard before doing this work, and while it is work that doesn't typically require an electrician, if you are not comfortable doing it, consider hiring a professional.
Let me know what you think.
Jacob
